Calgary Based Rapper Profit Unleashes His New Video "Paper"

Hailing from Calgary, a city not typically recognized for its underground hip-hop culture, Profit is a young emcee who aims to be remembered as one of the greatest to touch a mic. Drawing inspiration from many sources, including revolutionaries such as Malcolm X, Bobby Seale and Fred Hampton, as well as legendary artists like Ray Charles, Tupac and Erykah Badu, Profit is influenced by the greats and strives to leave a lasting impression in his city and beyond.

The talented emcee has just released a very DOPE visual to his track “Paper”, directed by 99 Films. The track itself is the first single from Profit’s forthcoming album “Smoke N Mirrors”, which essentially centers on the daily human pursuit for monetary gain and how often times individuals ignore the negatives of that pursuit because it is so essential to survival.

We’re really looking forward to Profit’s “Smoke N Mirrors” project, and thankfully we’ve got “Paper” to hold us down in the meantime, and you do too. Watch the new music video for “Paper” right now, stream it on your preferred music service, and connect with Profit on his social media. Also, stay close to DCWS because we’ve got an exclusive interview with Profit coming very soon!
