Fresh off the heels of her debut solo EP “Dark Skin & Tattoos”, Ekelle returns with her summer anthem “Come With Me”. This track is all about Summer love - meeting that special person on vacation and having things go perfectly. We may not all go on vacation, but Summer has a way of making even your everyday surroundings seem a bit more exciting. Ekelle aims to put you in a good mood as you attend boat cruises, pool parties, a weekend up at the cottage or simply check out a street festival. Your summer lover could be anywhere!
On this track Ekelle said “This song is actually based on a true story. I always tend to meet someone when I go away on vacation. I think it’s because I’m in a more relaxed mind state and the warm weather just makes you so happy! Not everyone gets to go away because of work and general life stuff so I wanted to bring that feeling to my audience. I want people to feel like they can be whisked away by a beautiful person and enjoy their summer too.”
Ekelle is a multi-genre artist and songwriter from Toronto. Ekelle rhymes about relationships, money, life in the 6ix, women's issues and other areas that have affected her life to create a style that she calls ‘Hood Pop’ - Popular music with a street edge. Her passion, drive and most importantly appreciation of music motivated her to embark on a music career of her own.
She prefers to spit hot bars in the cooler months and provide tropical inspired songs in the warm months taking a cue from her Caribbean background.
Produced by her favourite studio engineer KR Moore, this Canadian made song is sure to get your waistline moving and your spirits rising just like you were in the islands!
