Coming to us from the Los Angeles based Avant-Americana 9-piece band The Evangenitals, we are excited to share with you the music video for their song “Aporia”, featuring Ninja Academy.

The Evangenitals were founded in 2003 by playwright/director Juli Crockett and opera, jazz and gospel singer Lisa Dee, and are joined on guitar by Juli’s husband, Michael Feldman (Cousin Junebug), on keys, Joey Maramba (John Cale) on bass, Andrea Baker (The Moth Mainstage) on fiddle, Cody Farwell (Goodnight Cody) on guitar/lap steel, Danny Graziani (DoSomething) on viola, electric mandolin and harmonica, and Rob Shaffer (Ninja Academy) and Nick Stone (Pixarmonic Orchestra) on drums and percussion.

The band has released four albums, including 2014’s "Moby Dick: or, The Album", and they’ve played all over the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Lightning In A Bottle and The Melissa Etheridge Cruise.

Though according to Wikipedia, an aporia is defined as "a puzzle or state of puzzlement. In rhetoric, it is a declaration of doubt, made for rhetorical purpose and often feigned", there’s no doubt this visual is amazing and is the perfect accompaniment to the song. Utilizing collage-art stop-motion, the “Aporia” music video was created by Juli Crockett and inspired by Jacques Derrida.
