DOPEST Video of the Week: "Doubt" by TILSEN

Though she’s just released her sophomore single, TILSEN is anything but new to Toronto’s pop scene. She has shared the stage with some of the genre’s most celebrated artists including BANNERS, Scott Helman and Shawn Hook, and has performed at a variety of the city’s top venues such as The Phoenix, The Mod Club and the Drake Underground.

TILSEN has collaborated with artists including popular Youtuber Mike Tompkins, with a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Cold Water” (reaching over 1 million views) and Irish singer-songwriter Ryan O’Shaughnessy in a live video for an original song called “Better Than the Last.” TILSEN was also featured on ATB’s latest album with her song called “Faith”. Her debut single ‘Hurts’ has garnered over 170K streams.

The visual for TILSEN’s “Doubt” single has been designated as our DOPEST Video of the Week.

"When I wrote Doubt, I was most excited to dance to the song," says TILSEN. "I started working on choreography for the music video right away. I talked to Tim and Nina about having a performance based video with dancers. They brought my dream music video to life."

Directed by Toronto filmmaker Tim Myles, who was also the director behind her video 'Hurts', the music video for Doubt was shot at Moreland place in Grey County, Ontario Canada at a Victorian style mansion with vast gardens, manicured lawns and a hedge-row labyrinth. The stunning cinematography work was by TILSEN's high school friend Nina Djacic who has shot videos for the likes of Ralph, BANNERS, Plaza and Roy Woods.
