At just 19 years old, Annie O’Malley is already making a name for herself both as an artist and songwriter. She has just released the video for her new song "Island".
The ethereal video follows Annie gliding around an island as she develops and gains the confidence to be herself, a journey mirroring her own as the young musician grows into her own creative space where she has found a voice all her own.
"It's about standing up for yourself and being confident on your own," Annie says about the song and video. "It uses that 'Island' analogy."
Annie first garnered attention last year with her independently released single "Chase Me Down," which has organically collected over 200,000 Spotify streams and caught the attention of producer Johnny K (Plain White T's,) who produced her upcoming debut EP.
