Toronto Pop Darling Lo Lo Releases Her New Single "Sweater Collection"
Lo Lo made her first splash on the pop scene in April of 2018 with the release of her smash 'Yours' which peaked at #21 at Hot AC radio in Canada. An impressive feat for an artist's debut, Lo Lo was selected as iHeart Radio's Future Star while the track soared up both radio and streaming charts. 'Yours' was featured on some of Spotify's hottest playlists such as Hot Hits Canada, Pop All Day, Indie Pop Chillout and New Music Friday, peaking at #18 on Spotify's Viral Chart. In less than a year, Lo Lo has racked up over one million Spotify streams.
Following 'Yours' and previous single 'Convenient', Lo Lo's newest single is the title track off her debut EP “Sweater Collection”, set for release May 3. Coyly connecting the ‘Yours’ lyric, “your favourite sweater is still hanging on my door,” to the new track, Lo Lo’s growing collection of hoodies in the video alludes to a lost love that the songstress has personally experienced, and the same can be said to each track on her debut EP.
"In the title track, Sweater Collection, I talk about how every old sweater in the back of my closet represents a failed/missed connection,” says Lo Lo. “Each song in the album is about those specific connections, so I thought it was only fitting to name the entire album Sweater Collection. My collection of sweaters is in direct correlation with my collection of songs on the EP."
