Toronto Based RnB Songstress NDAI Releases Her New Single "Juicy"
Officially making her label debut, Toronto-based singer/songwriter NDAI drops her newest single "Juicy" produced by Gold’s House who she collaborated with on her 2018 song “Shadow”.
Summoning inspiration from the honeyed rhythms of rap group Bone Thugs N Harmony, NDAI plays with sweet analogies to touch on the significance of nurturing healthy relationships. While the timeless ease of its composition rouses the soul, there’s a whimsical bounce to the chorus that hooks you into a singalong. Gold’s House production pairs velvety guitar riffs with NDAI’s cadence molded in part by the guidance of Vocal Director Nevon Sinclair who worked with Daniel Caesar on his Grammy Award nominated album Freudian.
Written about a year prior, NDAI reflects on personal experience and the lessons she’s learned from seeing love go sour because two people prioritized sex over the cultivation of a solid partnership. NDAI compares the ripening of a fruit, a peach in this instance, to the often inability for these interactions to retain longevity and flourish. In the same way that eagerness and hunger can drive an individual to regret tasting a fruit prematurely, it’s quite common that lovers skip the necessary steps that fertilize lasting bonds for short-term satisfaction.
NDAI brews proficient dimension in each lovelorn note to accompany her lyrical artistry. “Juicy” sees the songstress encompassing new elements to her vocal prowess, while demonstrating a willingness to marry passion with playful melodies.
