The Keymakers Kick Off the Summer With Their New Soulful House Song "Sway"
Back on DCWS, The Keymakers kick off their busy summer with their newest single ‘Sway’. The soulful house track marks the beginning of an exciting time musically for the newly Los Angeles based brothers. “More than anything else, Sway was really a ton of fun to make” Red, the younger brother said. “It was really a cool workflow because it moved so seamlessly from just an idea in our heads to a final project. It’s always special to work on a track that has a life of its own.”
The track - like most from The Keymakers - sits firmly between genres, with a feeling the duo likes to call ‘Soulful House’. “It’s a really important track for us to release because, to us, it signifies a big step in our journey of finding our ‘sound’.” Rome, the older brother adds. “To take inspirations and ideas from different areas and meld them into something that’s your own is a skill that artists are constantly working on. In some ways, Sway is a coming of age track as we find our place sonically.”
