The Brooklyn Globetrotter Shares His New Track "I Am Black American"
Chad Harper, better known by his stage name "The Brooklyn Globetrotter," is an American rapper, songwriter, educator, businessman and humanitarian. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Harper has been a resident of New York City for more than twenty years, the majority of that time in Brooklyn. He has worked with Hip Hop pioneers such as Kool Herc, Marley Marl, and Melle Mel; as well as Hip Hop acts like Mister Cheeks, Brand Nubian, Keith Murry, Smif n Wesson and many more.
Just as the weather is starting to warm up, The Brooklyn rapper drops a conscious banger that is sure to heat up the airwaves. “I Am Black American”, the Brooklyn Globetrotter’s debut single off of his upcoming EP that shares the same name, is an instant classic from the very first time that you press play. The Brooklyn Globetrotter drops constant bar after bar of lyrical wizardry that only seems to have evaded us true hip hop heads for so long. Not your typical conscious track, the beat alone has so much ferocity that the hard-hitting drums and baseline are enough to make you break your neck. You think that’s energy? Wait until you hear how The Brooklyn Globetrotter takes command of the song with a delivery that’s so methodical you can literally feel his killer instinct. The Brooklyn Globetrotter is exactly what hip hop has been missing.
