Sydney Based Artist Okkaido Shares His Funky New Single "Flies"

Fresh to DCWS is Okkaido, the musical project of Sydney, Australia based artist Adin Taylor, a self professed lover of music and recent creator of his own. Having grown up surrounded by music and performing in his dads band at a younger age, he was constantly inspired by music.

Recently he spent some time honing his craft and creating plenty of his own, carving out a unique sound to be recognized by. His debut single “Amanda Who?” has clocked in over 170,000 streams on Spotify; needless to say he's made an impact from the get go.

Okkaido has just dropped his latest single, “Flies”, a track with funky guitars lifting up a smooth vocal flow that brings your attention to where it’s needed. In Okkaido’s own words "Flies was recorded as an apology letter to an ex partner. The word “Flies” meaning Lies will always come to the surface no matter how hard you try to cover them up”. It was produced by Matrick Jones in his home studio in Ashfield, creating a really raw sound and feeling.

We’re huge fans of Okkaido now due to his DOPE new single, so do yourself a favor and listen to “Flies” right now, and connect with him on Instagram so you’ll know when his follow-up is dropping!
