Singer-Songwriter Roxanne Shares Her Latest Single "Don’t Break My Heart”

Living her passion in music, Roxanne, a Canadian singer-songwriter, performing and recording artist, independent music producer, and vocal coach from Ottawa, Ontario is always pushing her creative limits forward.

Earning her degree in music performance in classical music and opera, Roxanne began her career as a solo vocalist and as a chorister with various local music ensembles and theater companies throughout North America’s prestigious stages, including Ottawa’s National Arts Center, and New York’s Carnegie Hall.

Expanding her musical repertoire with genres including pop, rock, soul, jazz, blues, funk, disco, soca, and afrobeat, Roxanne performed as a lead and back-up singer for various local and international artists and bands. Embracing her love of world rhythms, Roxanne became the singer-songwriter, music producer, and leading woman of her reggae band, Nile Groove releasing her 2014 debut single “Without You”, her 2016 debut album “Uncovered”, her 2017 single “Why It Gotta Hurt So Bad”, and her 2017 “Insatiable” album with Nile Groove.

Recognized for her incredible voice, her power pipes, and her unique sound, this versatile artist continues to capture fans attention with her commanding performances in festivals, special events, and legendary nightclubs and her infectious music on radio rotation and available on digital music platforms.

Creating major buzz internationally as an independent artist with her must-listen tracks while gaining international exposure featured on the airwaves, in interviews, on television, and in press at home and across the globe, Roxanne also ranked in the top five vocalists in the International Singer Universe “Best Vocalist Of The Month – September 2017″ Competition based in Los Angeles. Her song “Do You Mean What You Say” from her “Uncovered” album with Nile Groove was also placed in “Darkness Has Covered My Light”, a 2017 Chicago-based independent film produced by Brian Naydol from Pulp Production Films.

Compared to the sounds of Jennifer Lopez, Paula Abdul, CeCe Peniston and Madonna, Roxanne gave fans the first exclusive sound bite of her solo sound with the release of her daring 80’s synth pop/dance-electronica debut single “Like Suga” followed by her second single “Take a Ride” released in 2020, and “Move Yuh Body” released in 2020. Fresh from releasing her brand new 2022 single “Don’t Break My Heart”, Roxanne continues to gain world-wide exposure putting her on the list of artists to watch.
