The 22-year old London based singer-songwriter HURU draws inspiration from a variety of artists such as India Arie, Solange, Oshun, Lauryn Hill, Akua Naru, Laura Mvula and many Hip Hop artists.
She describes her music as “honest, reflective and cosmic”. It is also progressive, speaking about a journey to enlightenment, self-awareness, love and the experiences of life from a personal perspective spiced with atmospheric electronic sounds and passionate, soulful vocals.
