Brooklyn Based Rockers Evelyn Releases Title Track "Slowly" Off Their Upcoming EP Due Out April 6th

New to DCWS is the single "Slowly" by Brooklyn based rock band Evelyn. "Slowly" is the title track off the band’s second EP, which is due to be released on April 6th. Produced by Lora-Faye Ashuvud (Arthur Moon) and Andrew Sheron, this four-track EP is a propulsive, emotionally-charged follow up to the group’s 2017 debut, "Light Full". Lyrical, sonically rich, and at times playful, "Slowly" is an inquiry into desire, emotional disorientation, and self-acceptance.

About Evelyn:

Evelyn is a five-piece band making hearts-on-their-sleeves indie rock out of Brooklyn, NY. The group’s songs originate in the mind of singer, guitarist, and songwriter Dani Lencioni, whose self-taught songwriting combines vintage rock with carefully built harmonies and indie shimmer. Though Lencioni’s music career started in the folk scene, the foundation for her progression towards rock was laid early, headbanging to Joe Satriani with her dad in their living room as a tyke. The band formed in 2016 with Lencioni, her partner Drew Broussard (lead guitar), and longtime musical collaborator and friend Zachary Joy Smith (bass). Drummer Brian Paul and vocalist Jordan Kisner joined the group in 2017 and the quintet quickly developed an energetic sound, equal parts sweetness and grit. Sweethearts onstage and off, Evelyn delivers a live show brimming with energy and affection. They believe in feelings, and they believe in rock and roll.

Evelyn will celebrate the release of "Slowly" with a release show on April 14th at Bowery Electric. To get a taste of what's to come with "Slowly" on the 6th, click HERE to stream the band's first EP "Light Full".
